Indiana High School Softball - NorthWood edged by Bremen
April 14, 2023: Bremen, IN 46506 In Friday's non-league outing, the host Bremen Lions softball team scored a close 5-4 win over the NorthWood Panthers.
Coming up next, the Lions encounter the South Central Satellites (Union Mills, IN) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 15. Bremen will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Satellites enter the outing with a 3-2 record after their 12-2 league loss to Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN).

Game Summary
The Lady Lions allowed 3 runs in the 2nd inning after back to back doubles from Rowe & Lowery for Northwood. The Lions matched 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, after a Mickie Shively single, two hit by pitches to Eliana Grubbs & Delainey Neher, a walk by Chrissy Grabowski, & an error off the bat by Avery Wildauer knotted the game 3-3 after 3 innings.
The Lions then took the lead in the bottom of the 6th after Wildauer was hit by a pitch, stole 2nd, then advanced to 3rd on a sacrafice bunt by Peyton Mason. Wildauer then scored on suicide squeeze bunt by Maddy Williams.
Northwood then scored in the top of the 7th on a single by Jacobs, and a double by Grueser. With the score tied at 4, going to the bottom of the 7th, Shively blasted a lead off, walk-off home run, to give the Lady Lions their 2nd win of the year.
