North Carolina High School Softball - Carson holds off Concord
April 14, 2023: Concord, NC 28025 Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest Cabarrus for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Carson will face a Trojans squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Concord falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Spiders travel to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Salisbury won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC)
