Virginia High School Softball - Orange County bounces Charlottesville
April 14, 2023: Charlottesville, VA 22901 Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA), 17-0 in a league challenge.
The Fighting Hornets now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monticello for a Jefferson challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Orange County will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-0.
With the loss, Charlottesville falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Black knights host Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to battle the Flying Flucos in a Jefferson challenge on Monday, April 17. The Flying Flucos enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Fluvanna County lost 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Orange County (Orange, VA)
