New York High School Softball - Chatham holds off Pine Plains
April 14, 2023: Chatham, NY 12037 Chatham Panthers (Chatham, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pine Plains Bombers (Pine Plains, NY), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenville for a Section 2 Patroon challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Chatham will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Coxsackie-Athens (Coxsackie, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Pine Plains falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bombers travel to Herkimer (Herkimer, NY) to battle the Magicians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Magicians enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
