April 14, 2025: Gainesville, VA 20155 The Gainesville Cardinals baseball squad scored 1 runs and limited the visiting Abingdon Falcons to 0 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Monday.
Next up, the Cardinals battle the St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, April 16. Gainesville will attempt to advance on its 10-1 season record. The Cadets come into the outing with a 19-1 record after their 6-0 league win over Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD).
The Falcons (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Union (Big Stone Gap, VA). The Bears go into the Mountain 7 test with a 0-4 record. In their last outing, Union was nudged by Abingdon (Abingdon, VA), 9-0, in a league outing.
