The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Bedford Bearcats (Bedford, OH) and the visiting Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH), saw Bedford's baseball team get by Open Door Christian by a tally of 7-6.

The Bearcats (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Shaw (East Cleveland, OH). The Cardinals enter the Lake Erie battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Shaw was tipped by Cornerstone Christian (Willoughby, OH), 20-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Medina Christian Academy Knights (Medina, OH) in a battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Open Door Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 16-5 non-league loss to Lake Center Christian (Hartville, OH).
