The Lafayette Commodores baseball squad (Oxford, MS), was overwhelmed 12-1 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS)

With the triumph, Hernando moves its record to 17-8 on the season. The Tigers host Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS) to confront the Trojans in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 17. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 7-2. Northpoint Christian lost 5-2 in their recent league contest against Evangelical Christian (Cordova, TN)

The Commodores now possess a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tupelo for a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 15. Lafayette will confront a Golden Wave squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Mooreville (Mooreville, MS). The Golden Wave record now stands at 13-13.
