The Gretna East Griffins baseball squad (Gretna, NE), was overwhelmed 10-6 in Monday's non-league contest with the host Bennington Badgers (Bennington, NE)

With the triumph, Bennington moves its record to 5-5 on the season. The Badgers host Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE) to confront the Storm in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 3. The Storm come into the contest with a record of 3-8.

The Griffins now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waverly for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 17. Gretna East will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Nebraska City (Nebraska City, NE). The Vikings record now stands at 8-1.
