West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ) followers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ), 9-8 in a league game.

With the victory, West Milford advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ) to play the Patriots in a Pooley game on Wednesday, April 16. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 1-4. Lenape Valley lost 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Kittatinny Regional (Newton, NJ)
