The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Mater Dei Knights (Breese, IL) and the visiting Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL), observed Mater Dei's softball team prevail over Alton by a tally of 10-0.

The Knights (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Lancers go into the non-league bout with a 9-3 record. In their last bout, Belleville East knocked off Granite City (Granite City, IL), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Redbirds clash with the Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 15. Alton will attempt to advance on its 1-9 season record.
