April 14, 2025: Maplewood, NJ 07040 The Columbia Cougars triumphed over the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars play the Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ) in a SEC - American challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Verona (Verona, NJ).
The Minutemen (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Montclair (Montclair, NJ). The Mounties enter the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Montclair overcame Nutley (Nutley, NJ), 4-2, in a league challenge.
