In Monday's league match, the visiting Newark Norsemen softball team scored a tight 12-5 win over the Indian Creek Timberwolves.

The Norsemen (8-7) will now prepare for their match against Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 9-5 record. In their last match, Herscher was routed by Pontiac (Pontiac, IL), 7-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Timberwolves confront the Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 17. Indian Creek will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Hubs come into the match with a 3-10 record after their 8-4 league loss to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL).
