The Newport Buffaloes triumphed over the visiting Juniata Indians softball squad by a count of 16-10 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Buffaloes play the Line Mountain Eagles (Herndon, PA) in a Tri-Valley challenge, on Wednesday, April 16. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 10-7 league win over East Juniata (McAlisterville, PA).

The Indians (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Upper Dauphin Area (Elizabethville, PA). The Trojans enter the Tri-Valley challenge with a 3-4 record.
