Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), 8-4 in a league game.

With the triumph, Coventry upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Oakers host Pilgrim (Warwick, RI) to play the Patriots in a Division 1 game on Wednesday, April 15. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 1-3. Pilgrim lost 7-2 in their recent league game against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI)

The Bulldogs now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Deltona for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 21. Westerly will play a Wolves squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Seabreeze (Daytona Beach, FL). The Wolves record now stands at 10-3.
