The Mt. Zion Braves softball squad (Mt. Zion, IL), was edged 13-12 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the visiting Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL)

With the triumph, Normal Community improves its record to 5-9 on the year. The Ironmen host Centennial (Champaign, IL) to face the Chargers in a Big Twelve contest on Thursday, April 16. The Chargers enter the contest with a record of 1-9. Centennial lost 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL)

The Braves now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Effingham for a Apollo contest on Friday, April 17. Mt. Zion will face a Flaming Hearts squad coming off a 16-4 non-league loss to Robinson (Robinson, IL). The Flaming Hearts record now stands at 8-6.
