In Thursday's non-league contest, the Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA) softball team held off the visiting Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, Central Valley moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Warriors host Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA) to play the Vikings in a WPIAL 4A 3 contest on Friday, April 16. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 1-1. Hopewell lost 17-0 in their recent league contest against Beaver (Beaver, PA)

In their next game, the Lancers play the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 contest, on Friday, April 16. Neshannock will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record.
