Kentucky High School Baseball - Brother Rice gets by McCracken County
April 15, 2023: Paducah, KY 42001 Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host McCracken County Mustangs (Paducah, KY), 8-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, Brother Rice upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Marmion (Aurora, IL) to battle the Cadets in a Chicago Catholic - Blue test on Tuesday, April 18. The Cadets come into the test with a record of 3-9. Marmion lost 8-7 in their recent non-league match against Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL)
The Mustangs (10-6) will now prepare for their match against St. Xavier (Louisville, KY). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 13-4 record. In their last match, St. Xavier tipped Brother Rice (Chicago, IL), 3-1, in a non-league match.
