The La Jolla Vikings held off the visiting Taft Toreadors volleyball team by a score of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Vikings now have a 14-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patrick Henry for a City Eastern test on Tuesday, April 18. La Jolla will confront a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 league loss to University City (San Diego, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 11-13.

The Toreadors (26-12) will now prepare for their test against University (Los Angeles, CA). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 29-8 record. In their last test, University was nudged by Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA), 3-1, in a league test.
