North Carolina High School Softball - Midway can't hold off Laney

April 15, 2023: Dunn, NC 28366

The Laney Buccaneers softball team scored 2 runs and limited the host Midway Raiders to 1 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Laney improves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Buccaneers host North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to clash with the Scorpions in a Mideastern 3A/4A game on Tuesday, April 18. The Scorpions come into the game with a record of 4-13. North Brunswick won 22-9 in their recent non-league game against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC) in a Southeastern Athletic 2A game, on Tuesday, April 25. Midway will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record.
