West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Tri-Valley for a Class A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. West Central will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Elk Point-Jefferson falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD) to battle the Cubs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. The Cubs enter the challenge with a record of 5-2.
