West Virginia High School Softball - Scott holds off Mingo Central
April 15, 2024: Matewan, WV 25670 Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), 3-1 in a league challenge.
The Skyhawks now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sissonville for a Cardinal challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Scott will battle a Indians squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Logan (Logan, WV). The Indians record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Mingo Central falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Tolsia (Fort Gay, WV) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 1-10. Tolsia lost 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Grace Christian (Huntington, WV)
