Wisconsin High School Softball - Wisconsin Heights holds off Richland Center
April 15, 2024: Mazomanie, WI 53560 Wisconsin Heights Vanguards (Mazomanie, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Richland Center Hornets (Richland Center, WI), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Vanguards now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belleville for a Capitol - South challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Wisconsin Heights will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Waterloo (Waterloo, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Richland Center falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Hornets host Darlington (Darlington, WI) to face the Redbirds in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Darlington won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Riverdale (Muscoda, WI)
