The Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX) baseball trounced the host Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX), 8-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Wampus Cats now own a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Venus for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 24. Itasca will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-0 league loss to Alvarado (Alvarado, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-14.
