Illinois High School Soccer - Orion/Sherrard knocks off Illinois Valley Central
April 15, 2025: Chillicothe, IL 61523 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Orion/Sherrard United (Orion, IL) and the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), saw Orion/Sherrard's soccer squad triumph over Illinois Valley Central by a count of 6-0.
The United (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Quad Cities Christian (Moline, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Quad Cities Christian was overwhelmed by Faith Christian (Dixon, IL), 10-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Grey Ghosts battle the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 17. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 3-7 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL).
