New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, New Covenant advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA) to clash with the Tornadoes in a non-league test on Thursday, April 17. The Tornadoes come into the test with a record of 5-2. Timberlake Christian won 4-1 in their recent league test against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Moneta, VA)

The Mavericks now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Carlisle for a test on Thursday, April 17. Miller School of Albemarle will clash with a Chiefs team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA). The Chiefs record now stands at 3-3.
