The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) and the visiting Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), observed Hickory's softball team prevail over Franklin by a tally of 13-3.

The Hornets (2-5) will now prepare for their bout against Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Muskies go into the District 10 Region 5 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Jamestown was routed by Grove City (Grove City, PA), 6-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) in a District 10 Region 5 outing, on Wednesday, April 16. Franklin will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Oilers come into the outing with a 1-8 record after their 16-14 non-league loss to Lakeview (Stoneboro, PA).
