Kentucky High School Softball - Shelby Valley bounces J.I. Burton
April 15, 2025: Pikeville, KY 41501 In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Shelby Valley Wildcats softball team scored a tight 7-1 victory over the J.I. Burton Black Raiders.
The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their match against Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 9-8 record.
In their next game, the Black Raiders battle the Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) in a Cumberland match, on Thursday, April 17. J.I. Burton will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Pioneers go into the match with a 0-4 record after their 20-0 league loss to Castlewood (Castlewood, VA).
