Casteel Colts (Queen Creek, AZ) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Perry Pumas (Gilbert, AZ), 8-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Casteel improves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Colts host Hamilton (Chandler, AZ) to play the Huskies in a game on Tuesday, April 21. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 8-6. Hamilton lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ)

The Pumas now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league game on Thursday, April 16. Perry will play a Lions squad coming off a 16-5 league loss to O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 2-5.
