The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) and the host Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL), observed Springstead's softball team get by Mitchell by a tally of 5-1.

The Eagles (14-1) will now prepare for their bout against Hudson (Hudson, FL). The Cobras enter the non-league contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Hudson nudged Fivay (Hudson, FL), 19-4, in a league contest.
