In Friday's league challenge, the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Cactus Cobras (Glendale, AZ), by a final score of 12-2.

With the win, Desert Edge upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Paradise Honors (Surprise, AZ) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 21. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-4.

With the defeat, Cactus falls to 0-12 on the season. The Cobras travel to Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ) to battle the Bulldogs in a 4A West Valley challenge on Monday, April 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Goldwater lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)
