Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Johnson Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 16. Nitro will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Martin County (Inez, KY). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Blazer falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Tomcats host Lincoln County (Stanford, KY) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 17. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Lincoln County lost 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Raceland (Raceland, KY)
