The Halifax County Comets baseball team (South Boston, VA), was overwhelmed 12-4 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA)

The Bruins now hold a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Oscar Smith for a Southeastern outing on Thursday, April 21.

Next, the Comets face the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a Piedmont outing, on Tuesday, April 19. Halifax County will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Warriors enter the outing with a 5-7 record after their 10-0 league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA).
