The Newtown Nighthawks baseball team (Newtown, CT), was overwhelmed 14-2 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT)

The Tigers now hold a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bridgeport Central for a Fairfield County outing on Monday, April 18. Ridgefield will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 1-4.

Next, the Nighthawks confront the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) in a Southwest - Colonial outing, on Monday, April 18. Newtown will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 3-3 record after their 10-5 league win over Bunnell (Stratford, CT).
