Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), witnessed Alexander Central's softball squad prevail over Watauga by a count of 15-0.

The Cougars now sport a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to South Caldwell for a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Friday, April 19. Alexander Central will face a Spartans squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 16-0.
