Kentucky High School Softball - Lloyd Memorial bounces Newport Central Catholic
April 16, 2024: Newport, KY 41071 Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts (Erlanger, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Juggernauts now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holy Cross for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. Lloyd Memorial will battle a Indians squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over Dayton (Dayton, KY). The Indians record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Newport Central Catholic falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds host Bellevue (Bellevue, KY) to battle the Tigers in a District 36 challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Bellevue lost 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY)
