Maryland High School Softball - Northwest bounces Wheaton
April 16, 2024: Silver Spring, MD 20906 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Northwest Jaguars (Germantown, MD) and the host Wheaton Knights (Silver Spring, MD), saw Northwest's softball squad achieve victory over Wheaton by a count of 17-2.
The Jaguars now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethesda-Chevy Chase for a Montgomery County 4A - West match on Friday, April 19. Northwest will face a Barons squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD). The Barons record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Wheaton falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, April 18. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 7-2. Walter Johnson lost 9-8 in their recent league match against Blair (Silver Spring, MD)
