New York High School Softball - Southampton bounces Pierson/Bridgehampton
April 16, 2024: Southampton, NY 11968 Southampton Mariners (Southampton, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pierson/Bridgehampton Whalers (Sag Harbor, NY), 7-0 in a league challenge.
The Mariners now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harborfields for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. Southampton will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 22-3 non-league loss to Mount Sinai (Mount Sinai, NY). The Tornadoes record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Pierson/Bridgehampton falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Whalers travel to Miller Place (Miller Place, NY) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Miller Place won 20-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Hampton Bays (Hampton Bays, NY)
