In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Morton Potters baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Metamora Redbirds.

The Potters (11-5) will now prepare for their game against Canton (Canton, IL). The Little Giants go into the Mid-Illini game with a 6-7 record. In their last game, Canton was tipped by East Peoria (East Peoria, IL), 3-2, in a league game.

Next, the Redbirds play the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 19. Metamora will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Purple Raiders go into the game with a 8-5 record after their 6-5 league loss to Richwoods (Peoria, IL).
