The Model Patriots baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Berea Pirates to 5 in the Patriots league win on Thursday.

The Patriots now own a 2-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to McLean County for a non-league test on Friday, April 17. Model will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins (Madisonville, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 14-4.

With the defeat, Berea drops to 2-13 on the year. The Pirates travel to Bath County (Owingsville, KY) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, April 17. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 10-9. Bath County won 12-10 in their recent non-league test against Bourbon County (Paris, KY)
