The Corning Cardinals got by the visiting Colusa RedHawks softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Cardinals (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Las Plumas (Oroville, CA). The Thunderbirds go into the Butte View battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, Las Plumas nudged Gridley (Gridley, CA), 3-1, in a league battle.

The RedHawks now sport a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Winters for a Sacramento Valley South battle on Tuesday, April 23. Colusa will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 19-6 non-league win over Durham (Durham, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-12.
