April 17, 2023: Nottoway, VA 23930 In Monday's non-league contest, the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) softball team overwhelmed the host Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Halifax County moves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Comets travel to Patrick County (Stuart, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 18. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 6-3. Patrick County won 16-1 in their recent non-league contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA)
In their next game, the Cougars play the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 20. Nottoway will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Statesmen come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).
