South Carolina High School Softball - Chesnee nudges East Rutherford
April 17, 2023: Chesnee, SC 29323 Chesnee Eagles (Chesnee, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lewisville for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 19. Chesnee will clash with a Lions team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC). The Lions record now stands at 17-1.
The Cavaliers (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers come into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Patton edged Freedom (Morganton, NC), 4-3, in a non-league test.
