Kansas High School Softball - Clay Center bounces Southeast of Saline
April 17, 2023: Gypsum, KS 67448 Clay Center Tigers (Clay Center, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Southeast of Saline Trojans (Gypsum, KS), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Abilene for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Clay Center will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 14-9 non-league loss to Riley County (Riley, KS). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Southeast of Saline falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Beloit (Beloit, KS) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Thursday, April 20. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 7-1. Beloit won 19-0 in their recent league game against Sacred Heart (Salina, KS)
