California High School Softball - Mission Viejo nudges Santa Margarita
April 17, 2023: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 Mission Viejo Diablos (Mission Viejo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Diablos now own a 11-13 record. They take the field next when they host San Juan Hills for a South Coast challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Mission Viejo will battle a Stallions squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Dana Hills (Dana Point, CA). The Stallions record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, Santa Margarita falls to 14-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA) to battle the Lancers in a Trinity challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 16-5. Orange Lutheran won 11-5 in their recent league challenge against JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
