Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC), 9-8 in a league test.

With the win, Bishop McGuinness upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Villains host Millennium (Mount Airy, NC) to battle the Lions in a Northwest Piedmont 1A test on Tuesday, April 23. The Lions come into the test with a record of 2-8. Millennium won 7-1 in their recent league test against Carver (Winston-Salem, NC)

With the defeat, Cornerstone Charter falls to 11-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to McMichael (Mayodan, NC) to battle the Phoenix in a non-league test on Thursday, April 18. The Phoenix come into the test with a record of 10-8. McMichael lost 11-5 in their recent non-league test against Western Alamance (Elon, NC)
