California High School Softball - San Marcos bounces El Capitan
April 17, 2024: San Marcos, CA 92069 San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 13-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Knights now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Del Norte for a challenge on Thursday, April 18. San Marcos will battle a Nighthawks squad coming off a 12-11 league loss to Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA). The Nighthawks record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, El Capitan falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Vaqueros host San Pasqual (Escondido, CA) to battle the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. San Pasqual won 16-7 in their recent league challenge against Poway (Poway, CA)
