The Northern Patriots nipped the visiting Huntingtown Hurricanes softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Patriots (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Crofton (Gambrills, MD). The go into the non-league battle with a 9-1 record.

The Hurricanes now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Point for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, April 19. Huntingtown will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.
