New Jersey High School Softball - Middletown South holds off Manalapan
April 17, 2024: Englishtown, NJ 07726 Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ), 3-1 in a league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freehold Township for a Shore - A North challenge on Friday, April 19. Middletown South will face a Patriots squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Manalapan falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Braves host St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ) to face the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. St. John-Vianney won 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Allentown (Allentown, NJ)
