The Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) baseball trounced the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 14-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Rams now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host East Wilkes for a Northwest 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Starmount will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 11-1 league loss to North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-6.

With the defeat, Alleghany drops to 2-16 on the year. The Trojans travel to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to clash with the Granite Bears in a Northwest 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 22.
