The Muncie Central Bearcats baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Blackford Bruins to 4 in the Bearcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Bearcats now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lafayette Jefferson for a North Central test on Saturday, April 19. Muncie Central will play a Bronchos team coming off a 13-4 league win over Kokomo (Kokomo, IN). The Bronchos record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Blackford drops to 3-4 on the year. The Bruins host Lewis Cass (Walton, IN) to play the Kings in a non-league test on Friday, April 18. The Kings go into the test with a record of 4-1. Lewis Cass lost 9-6 in their recent non-league test against Oak Hill (Converse, IN)
